Adds managing directors to its Boston and London offices

J. Robert Scott, a leading global retainer-based executive search firm, continues its global expansion with the addition of two managing directors within its technology practice. Steve Maxwell, a 25-year technology and recruiting industry veteran, joins the Boston office. Based in London, Grace Borrelli brings more than 25 years of executive recruiting and professional services experience to the firm.Recently, the firm also added seven executive search professionals to its offices in the Asia Pacific region.

Both Borrelli and Maxwell will be responsible for serving public and venture-backed technology companies regionally and internationally.

Grace Borrelli

Most recently, Borrelli was with Odgers Berndtson as a partner and co-leader of its Global Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) Practice.Earlier, she was managing partner in the TMT Practice of CTPartners in Europe, working with clients to recruit senior executives capable of driving global expansion in emerging markets.Her earlier search experience involved serving as a partner at Highland Partners, as well as with both Russell Reynolds Associates and Heidrick & Struggles.Prior to her career in executive recruiting, she spent 14 years with Towers Perrin, where she was a member of the firm’s European Board with responsibility for the TMT sector.Borrelli holds a bachelor’s degree with honors and master’s degree from London University.

Steve Maxwell

Maxwell joins J. Robert Scott from executive search firm Kesic | Cervino Executive Search, where he was a partner.Prior to that, he was a recruiting partner at Kodiak Venture Partners, where he assessed talent and potential investments, advised portfolio companies on building world-class management teams and served as the firm’s board representative on several investments.Earlier, he was president of a boutique executive search firm in Wellesley and spent five years as a member of the technology practice of Russell Reynolds Associates in Boston.Before entering the executive search field, Maxwell ran global sales and business development at Lightbridge, where he helped drive the software company to a successful IPO, and was vice president of sales and marketing at Spectrum Interactive, a developer of interactive multimedia business applications. Maxwell holds a bachelor’s degree from Denison University.
